Where your window is positioned in your bathroom will have an impact on whether your bathroom blind has to be waterproof or not. Not all bathroom blinds will come into direct contact with water if they aren’t situated close to a shower, bath or sink. However, as bathrooms can become steamy and humid environments, opting for waterproof or water-resistant blinds will ensure that the blinds remain in good condition, do not hold onto moisture or hold smells and are less susceptible to mould.

In environments that are humid, steamy and wet, blinds can retain moisture, causing them to become damp and making them more likely to go mouldy. Waterproof blinds, such as PVC roller blinds or PVC slatted venetian blinds, are less likely to grow mould due to their waterproof properties.
