4 Bedroom Styles We Love
Inspiration
Posted 29/03/2018
Nothing says: ‘home’ like the welcoming sight of your bed as you get ready to take a nap after a long day. To give you a few ideas about how you can turn your bedroom into your own personal oasis away from it all why not take a look at some ideas that we’ve absolutely fallen in love with this week?
1. Snuggly
Who doesn’t love a snuggly bedroom? Thick rugs on a wooden floor and a comfy chair or beanbag in the corner are great additions that work around the edges of that giant kingsize bed you’ve had your eye on. With plenty of scatter cushions, an extra-thick duvet, and a throw at the end of the bed, a snuggly bedroom is like a giant cuddle waiting for you every time you open the door.
2. Country style
A bare wooden floor in a nice light colour and the occasional bit of wooden paneling on the walls are great ways to start any country style bedroom. Keep the bedspreads country-inspired with a nice landscape or some simple colours and you’ll be well on your way. Finish everything off with a few country touches like a rustic metal jug on a side stable or a thick wooden chest at the foot of the bed.
3. Minimalist
The great thing about a minimalist bedroom is that it lets you escape the busyness of everyday life and let everything wash over you. Monochrome walls and bedspreads are definitely on the shopping list, as is built-in storage so that you shut everything away and be left with nothing else to do but rest and relax. If you love to get away from it all before bedtime then minimalism could be perfect for you.
4. Attic style
Attic conversions have been around for a while, but never has the homely feeling of an attic bedroom been more popular. Make a virtue of the slopping ceilings and unusual layouts by creating the cosy atmosphere that will have you drifting off to sleep in seconds. We love the visual of stained white wooden flooring complementing the free-flowing light from the skylight.
