If you love the look of your wood burner and are sad that it will be half a year before you can light it again then why not add a few finishing touches to give it some much needed TLC? Don’t just drop them in randomly; if you have them sticking out the top at just the right variety of lengths you’ll be able to create a lovely vintage touch.
