It’s that spooky time of year again, so what better way to get in the mood than by taking a look at the easiest ways to make your home the scariest on the street?
Hang Some Ghosts Upstairs
The great thing about making a ghost is that all you need is an old pillow case and a marker pen. Put a scary face on it, raise your blinds, and then have it hanging eerily in your upstairs window. As passersby see it they’re guaranteed to run a mile!
Mummify Your Front Door
It doesn’t matter how you decide to do it, but when you do you’ll be sure to have the spookiest house on the street. So spooky in fact that the trick or treaters won’t know whether to knock or run.
Carve a Scary Pumpkin
It speaks for itself this one because it’s a timeless Halloween classic. Look up a few ideas on Pinterest and you’ll be able to create something that will scare the whole street witless.
Add Cobwebs to Make your Windows Extra Spooky
Make some cobwebs out of string and hang them in your front windows if you want to make your home look eery and abandoned. It’s the one time of year when you want your blinds to take a backseat!
Get a Creepy Projector
You’ll have seen the Christmas projectors for a few years now, but how about a Halloween one? If you hide it in your front garden and point it at your house the whole street will be able to see ghosts swirling about the place. Ideal if you really want to standout.
Put a Gravestone Outside
Creepy talking gravestones are all the rage and a great way to add something a little different to the mix. You could even make a few extra cardboard ones with the kids as a craft project if you think it won’t scare you too much!
