Measure the wall-to-wall width at the top, middle, and bottom of the recess. Use the smallest measurement as your width when ordering - we'll take care of any deductions to ensure the brackets can fit snugly inside the recess. 

Measure the wall-to-wall drop on the left, centre, and right of the recess - use the smallest measurement as your drop. 

Measure the width and drop where you want the blinds to hang - it's that simple! We recommend adding 35mm onto each side to ensure the blinds overlap the recess completely.

How to Fit Aluminium Venetian Blinds

Installing aluminium Venetian blinds is super straightforward with the help of our step-by-step fitting guide and how-to video, but here's a quick summary so you get the gist:

1. Start by drilling holes and screwing the swivel brackets into your wall in their correct positions. You can top-fix your brackets to the lintel or face-fix to a vertical surface.
2. Place the blinds onto the brackets, and clip in the swing arms to secure them into place.

Suitable for all other window types. Stick Fit aluminium blinds are installed using adhesive side channels that stick directly onto the glass for your blinds to clip on to. These blinds also feature a narrow profile and fold-away handles making them a good choice for bi-fold doors. 

These blinds are installed using brackets that slide under the window beading, and simple clip into place! Perfect for aluminium and uPVC windows and doors. The main difference? Perfect Fit aluminium Venetians come with a full frame, while Clip Fit metal Venetians have adhesive side channels and a fold-away handle, making them ideal for bi-folds.
