Tips

Breathing a little new life and zest into your home doesn’t have to cost you all your savings and a tonne of time. You can DIY plenty of elements of your home by keeping things simple, quick, and easy. After all, we’re not talking a full home overhaul here – just a few little touches to liven things up a little!
The bathroom is often a little overlooked when it comes to style. After all, for most of us, the priority is a clean, comfortable space in which we can get ourselves looking and feeling our best! And, as we don’t always spend long periods of time in here, we might not prioritise style. But, we spend more time in there than we think, and wouldn’t it be lovely to have it looking as stylish as the rest of the house? Here’s how to brighten it up a bit without spending a fortune:
- Add some candles to the bath area. They can help create a cosy ambience to the room when lit and, when they’re not, look pretty and stylish just the same. We would normally advise battery-operated candles but the standard kind are probably best in the bathroom – just remember to keep them away from flammable items and extinguish them properly immediately after use.
- Change up your towels and accessories. If you have an all-white or neutral bathroom, colour can easily be added using items such as toothbrush holders, bathmats, and more. Easily removable items like shower curtains and bubble baths work too.
- Hang some pictures or signs. The walls in bathrooms are often neglected and can look bare. Putting up a canvas or fun sign can really add character. Don’t be afraid to add photographs either. Whilst photos in the bathroom aren’t for everyone, they can bring a real personal touch to the room.
- Upgrade your storage. Nothing is going to make a bathroom look more stylish than tidiness! If you don’t have a large bathroom, some smart storage can make all the difference. Use hanging laundry bags, pretty baskets, and floating shelves to store all your bits and pieces. These things will add style and help keep things in check!
