Glass Bottles: A Cheap & Easy Way to Furnish Your Home in Style

When we’re redecorating or moving into a new home, we often go to great lengths in choosing our flooring, wall colours, and window dressings. But often it’s the little things that make all the difference, such as ornaments. Accessories like vases can do wonders for adding colour and style to your home. Have you ever noticed how expensive these things are though? All these little extras, that we often forget to budget for, can really add up. That’s why we love to DIY!

Using bottles we have at home (or in the recycling basket!), we can create strikingly stylish looks all over the house. Check these out:

Using bottles as vases may be a classic, but that’s because it’s effective! Flowers are pretty but we often feel like we need to spend loads of cash on big bunches. With a bottle, just a couple of stems picked from the garden will do just fine!

Try pouring pretty coloured bath oils or bubble bath into cute glass bottles and adding a cork. Bathtime has never looked so good!

If you have any coloured bottles, large or small, it could work as a standalone ornament, which means you don’t need to find anything to fill it! Yay!

A collection of bottles can look stunning if placed in front of a light (close, but not touching!), especially if they’re different colours. This is a zero effort one!

A little spray-paint goes a long way! It can change the whole look of a bottle and you can choose whatever colours match your home the best.
