How can I fit where I have tiles or a picture rail?
Finding a suitable window dressing for small or narrow windows.
When trying to measure and fit a blind to a narrow window, or door, it can be difficult to find blinds that are small enough for the width, drop or even both. We’ve collated our smallest-sized products, and we’ll explain the different types, so you can ensure you get a perfect fit for your perfectly mini-sized window.
Clip-On blinds - A smart way to dress uPVC windows and doors!
Perfect fit blinds have been specially designed for use with uPVC windows and doors, in that they are fitted using a drill-free, screw-free method, which means you don’t have to worry about damaging the frame! What you will need is window beading, that is the seal you see around the glass that helps keep your home toasty warm, that would allow you to slide the Perfect Fit clips underneath. You can normally test if your beading is suitable by using a knife to try and get some leverage, which you’ll need to fix the clips, which slide underneath and are used to mount the blind, sitting within a uPVC frame. If you have any window handles in the way, or our simply not sure, please call our friendly team on 01484 443790!

Vertical blinds, for narrow widths.
Great at covering larger sizes as well, Vertical blinds also come in narrow widths as well. Available from 20 cm widths, vertical blinds could be just the thing to dress a narrow window door. As you can affix these blinds to the top of a window recess or ceiling, or you can affix ‘face-fix’ to a wall, and they come in a wide array of colours, special properties, and they offer superior privacy and light control, due to their tilting slats, vertical blinds continue to be a firm favourite in UK households.

What can I fit to a large window or door?
Bigger can certainly be better when it comes to open-plan living, and these days many people make the most of natural light by using large spans of glass. Whilst making the room look larger, and blending the lush outside world into the room (whilst staying toasty warm); with loads of glass brings two main issues of concern, protecting your privacy and effective insulation, especially with the changeable English weather! We’ve summarised the easiest and most cost-effective way to tackle these two issues below!
Roller blinds - A modern, well-used solution.
Our second best-selling blind type, which come in a multitude of colours, patterns, opacity levels and styles, roller blinds are a versatile solution to large-window worries. Available in both large widths and drops, these blinds can be made up to 3500 mm width and 2915 mm drop, if the fabric is right. Plain fabrics offer the biggest likelihood at being available at the larger sizes , just because we can easily ‘turn’ the fabric around, and if it requires a join, it’s not very noticeable! Roller blinds can fit right in any room, with PVC Waterproof fabrics being both 100% waterproof and flame-retardant, which means these are perfect for either a kitchen or a bathroom. Why not go for a voile roller? These fabrics allow you to still see outside, yet offer a bit of privacy from the inside world!

Aluminium Venetians, a traditional solution for large windows.
Traditionally found in offices, commercial areas and other industrious areas, Aluminium Venetians offer low-upkeep, vibrant colour, and are also a great solution for larger windows. As these blinds also have a tiny depth, at around 25 cm-28 cm with brackets, these could also work on wooden doors that open inwards with limited space available. For the larger windows, we make these blinds up to 3 metres width and drop!

Privacy control and light control at large sizes; Vertical Blinds
As our Vertical Blinds can span huge widths, up to 3000mm width, and 3600mm drop, and you get them in an array of fabrics, from light-blocking blackouts, sheer light-filtering fabrics, and they come in a huge selection of colours, vertical blinds are similar in popularity for offices, open-plan homes or even as a room separator. As we’ve said before, vertical blinds can be titled open or shut, or if you want to enjoy the view unhindered, simply open the blind fully for clear, fantastic views!

A traditional, textured look; Curtains
Curtains offer the most choice when it comes to textures, colour palettes and styles. Ever-changing to keep up with trends, with soft-touch velvets, delicate embroidery, bold, jewelled hues to softer linen-looks, our made to measure curtains go up to a staggering 6 metres wide and 3.6 metres drop! Great for insulation as well, especially with thermal fleece interlining! Due to their benefits, we think if you can, layering curtains with another blind type is a great way to cover all your bases. It creates a luxurious finish, and means you can mix and match with even more fabrics!
