3 Things to Do With Leftover Christmas Wrapping Paper
Tips

One of the only downsides of the holidays seems to be all the waste we create, and wrapping paper is one of the biggest culprits. We use roll upon roll of the stuff to wrap our gifts, only for it to be ripped off and discarded. Then, we often have leftover wrap that we never get around to using. What a waste! So what can we do with our used or leftover wrapping paper to give it new life? Well, plenty!
1. Confetti
Making confetti out of wrapping paper is a great way of recycling – not only are you reusing what you would have thrown away but you’re then not purchasing more. Confetti is super easy to make; you can use anything from a standard holepunch to a specially shaped holepunch, or even just your shredder. This can make excellent gift box filler or table décor.
2. Gift bows
It’s fun to add a homemade touch to your gifts, so why not make some gift bows ready for next year? It’s a great skill to learn and there are plenty of tutorials around to get you started.
3. Wall art
Do you love to go all out during the holidays? Then replacing your normal wall art with some Christmas-themed ones is the project for you! It’s easy – just invest in some cheap frames and where you’d add a picture, use wrapping paper instead. Then you’ve got some fab wall art for next Christmas – you can even give them as gifts!
