Yes, Loft blinds are specifically designed to fit all four window types whereas the VELUX® branded blinds are only suitable for VELUX® windows and don’t offer the wider choice of fabrics.

To order one of our Skylight blinds, all you need to know is the window manufacturer and the window size. To identify your window manufacturer and window code:
1. Open the window and locate your data plate on the inside edge. This will usually be located either on the top side of the window or on the inside of the frame itself.
2. Note down the manufacturer and the size code as indicated on the data plate.
For VELUX® windows, the size code is usually made up of a group of letters and numbers such as “GGL M04”. For other window manufacturers, the size will be either a number or a letter/number combination such as “01” or “C2A”.
3. If you can't find a data plate on your window, measure the visible glass from side to side and top to bottom and use the charts below to find your code.

Are loft blinds suitable for VELUX®, Fakro, Rooflite and Dakstra windows?
What is the difference between VELUX® blinds and loft blinds?
VELUX® blinds are designed to only fit VELUX® branded windows and are slightly more expensive than our loft blinds. At 247 we have designed our own collection ‘loft blinds’ to work in exactly the same way and be compatible for all window types including VELUX®, Fakro, Rooflite and Dakstra. Our loft blinds are very competitive on price with faster delivery and a huge choice of fabrics.
How do I find out my window type or size?
Most windows will have a data plate on the inside edge which you will find when opening the window, we need the manufacturer and size stated on your plate to find the correct blind for your window type. For full instructions on finding your window type, please view the measuring tab for this blind.
Which loft blind will work best for my room?
Our loft blinds are available in a range of different fabrics to suit your window and interior. Our blackout collection will block out most of the light with a small amount of light bleed around the edges, if your window is in a kitchen or bathroom we have a waterproof range with fabrics designed to be moisture resistant and easy to clean which both work great considering your window will be angled when opened and could be exposed to wet conditions.

• We manufacture blinds to suit several loft window manufacturers, including VELUX®, Fakro, Dakstra and RoofLITE. Please locate the data plate on your window to ascertain the correct size of blind to order. If your window does not have a data plate, please view our measuring guide to see what you can do. Please note that some very old sizes of windows may no longer be carried.
• Loft blinds come with an aluminum frame as standard, with a choice of a white painted metal frame for an additional cost.
• Loft blinds are supplied pre-tensioned from our factory to suit the size of window ordered for. They can be re-tensioned if needed.
• Loft blinds are supplied with a headset and two side channels (left and right). These are screwed into your window frame to make a complete 'unit' around the window.
• Loft blinds are made using blackout materials and though these blinds do a fantastic job at blocking and reducing the light, please be aware that some degree of light will still come through between the components and the sides where the fabric ends.
• All our blinds are manufactured to be compliant with child safety regulations. Loft blinds are made with no control cords.
All loft blinds are operated manually (without cord control) and are supplied with no loose chains or cords.
