If your recess depth is 120mm or less or the window opens inwards, you'll be best off with an exact fitting. For recesses bigger than 120mm it's really just a matter of personal taste.
When measuring to fit inside the recess, check for anything such as tiling or picture rails that could get in the way and take them into account when measuring. We normally advise just to measure between any tiling so as to ensure a nice, snug fit.

Additional Information:

The fabric width is 35-40mm narrower than the overall width of the blind to allow for any control component on the side of the tube (or 'cassette'). Please note that the bottom rail is 1cm wider than the fabric at either side, due to the end caps required to hold the rail in place. We always manufacture the full blind width and not fabric width. If you are fitting one of these blinds outside of a recess, you may want to consider measuring wider to allow for some fabric overlap.
We try to make the measuring and ordering process as simple as possible - so for a recess fitting, we only require the full size of your recess space and we will make small adjustments to enable the blind to fit within that space. We make a 5mm deduction to the width of this blind. If you wish to make your own allowances and do not require us to make them, please select exact fitting and not recess during the order process.

Should I pick recess or exact size to fit my vista blinds?

Generally, if you have a deep enough recess of at least 6cm the most popular option is (Recess) and you will be fitting the blind into the window. If you haven’t got a recess you would have to pick (Exact size) and fix the blind onto the outside of the window, for full details view our measuring guide.

How do the controls on vista blinds work?

Vista blinds are operated on a sidewinder chain, pulling the chain will raise/lower the blind and move the panels in between the voile fabric.

Will I receive screws and rawl plugs with my blind?

No, we do not provide screws or rawl plugs with vista blinds, due to the variations in wall types.

• Please note that the cloth width is 3.5-4cm narrower than the overall cassette width. We always manufacture based on full blind width not cloth width.

• All items are cut to size and will be accurate with working tolerances and variances of +/-5mm.

• All our blinds are manufactured and supplied to be compliant with child safety regulations. As part of this compliance all control cords and chains will be made to a maximum of 1 metre. If you need to discuss this, please contact us.
