If you are fitting the wooden blind on the inside of your window then you would select (Recess) If you are fitting the blind on the outside of the window it would be (Exact). If you’re unsure view our measuring guide.
Wooden blinds are designed to give you two separate ways of controlling the light in your room. The tilt control is located on the left-hand side of the headrail and is a toggle pull cord, this is used to tilt the angle of the slats depending on how much privacy and light preferred. Another pull cord is placed on the right-hand side which allows you to raise/lower the blind.
A pelmet is a wooden strip supplied with your blind to cover the headrail and fixtures at the top of the blind, it will be colour matched to your blind and can easily be attached once you have fitted your blind. If you are fitting outside the recess ‘exact size’ you will also receive two smaller pieces to fit onto the sides of the headrail.

We will supply you with the brackets to fit the blinds however we do not supply screws/rawl plugs as each fitting location can vary, for most 15-25mm self-tapping screws and decent rawl plugs will do the job.
We have a specialist team producing our images and aim to get 100% accuracy on every blind. However, screens can vary depending which device you are using so we always recommend ordering a FREE SAMPLE just to be sure.

On Measuring
• 35mm Headrail is colour-coordinated and measures 42mm Depth x 42mm height.
• 35mm Box brackets are colour-coordinated and measures 50mm depth x 49mm height.
• 35mm Wooden square bottom bar is colour-coordinated.
• 50mm Headrail is colour-coordinated and 59mm Depth x 42mm height.
• 50mm Box brackets are colour-coordinated and 65mm depth x 47mm height.
• 50mm PVC Square bottom bar is colour-coordinated.
• All items are cut to size and will be accurate with working tolerances and variances of +/-5mm.
Pelmet
• A square-shaped pelmet will cover your headrail. This is colour-coordinated to your chosen slat colour.
• The pelmet is made to suit the type of fitting. For a recess fitting, the pelmet is made to the width ordered so it sits inside the recess. For an 'exact' fitting, the pelmet is made 3cm wider with mitred edges to cover the brackets.
Other
• The number of ladders or tapes shown in the images are for illustration purposes only. The width of blind ordered will determine how many tapes are a part of the blind.
• The blinds may be made with 2-3 extra slats on the bottom to ensure full coverage of the window.
• Blinds over 1050mm width will have a centre support bracket, with up to 3 support brackets at maximum width.
• All our blinds are manufactured and supplied to be compliant with child safety regulations. As part of this compliance, all control cords and chains will be made to a maximum of 1 metre. If you need to discuss this, please contact us.
Motorisation

• The specification for this product is the same as above, with variation for the specialist motorised option stated below.
• Motorised Wooden Venetian blinds are supplied as standard with a Somfy motorised control unit on the right-hand side to control the operation of the blind (tilting the slats).
• Raise/Lower operation is made through a cord control which is positioned on the right-hand side of the blind.
• The motorised operation is through a remote control unit — 1 single channel remote supplied with each blind.
• The unit is powered by an external rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack (adding approx. 40mm to the back of the headrail), where one hour charge will provide 11 months of average use. The blinds are delivered uncharged and will need fully charging before first use. Battery chargers are not supplied as standard.
• Compatible with 'Smart Home' Hubs allowing control via smartphone apps and voice control devices. Motorised Blind Hubs are available from our accessories section.
WARNING
Young children can be strangled by loops in pull cords, chains, tapes and inner cords that operate the product.
To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of young children.
Cords may become wrapped around a child’s neck. Move beds, cots, and furniture away from window covering cords.
Do not tie cords together. Make sure cords do not twist and create a loop.
