What's the difference between recess and exact fitting?

If you are fitting your voile Roman blind on the inside of your window opening, then this would be a Recess fitting. Our no-drill Twist&Fit option is only available under the Recess option. Alternately, If you want the blind to sit outside of the window recess, this would be Exact. If you're still unsure, view our measuring guide.

Which rooms are suitable for Voile Roman blinds?

Voile Roman blinds, due to their semi-translucent nature, are perfect for rooms where you want to promote natural light. Designed to provide some privacy, while letting the most light in, these fabrics are great for rooms where you’d like to maintain a good view out from your windows whilst still having a blind in place. Rooms that don’t face a busy road, or are North-facing are a great match for these fabrics. Due to the soft texture, layers and different fibres involved, Roman blinds may not be a great fit for a bathroom or kitchen. However, we can recommend the perfect blinds for your bathroom here.

What are the controls on this Roman blind?

Roman blinds and Twist&Fit Roman blinds are operated on a chrome sidewinder chain attached to the headrail. Simply pull the chain to move the fabric panels to the top. These form a neat waterfall-like stack when opened. You will have the option to have the sidewinder on either the left or right when ordering.

What are the lining options?

This fabric arrives without lining. This contributes to the voile fabric’s ability to let in as much light as possible, whilst still providing a subtle, textured design element. .

Can I buy matching curtains?

How accurate are the images to the Roman blind’s fabric?

We have a great imagery team dedicated to making the images match the fabric exactly. However, there are lots of textured fabrics and some screens will show them slightly differently, so we would recommend ordering your favourite designs through our unlimited FREE SAMPLE service.

Will I need screws/wall plugs to fit?

On our standard Romans blinds, although we do supply the necessary brackets, we don’t supply screws or wall plugs. Decent wall plugs and 15-25mm self-tapping screws do the trick for most fixing areas. Twist&Fit Roman blinds provide a drill and screw-free method of fitting. Are these like net blinds?

In a way, yes these could be considered a modern alternative to old-style net curtains/blinds. However, these are a made to measure product, and the fabrics you can choose from provide numerous styles, textures, and colours to really give you a high-tailored finish!
