247 Pro Tips:
- If your recess depth is 60mm or less or the window opens inwards, you'll be best off with an exact fitting. To do this please follow the 'Exact' measuring method in our measuring guide.
- When measuring to fit inside the recess, be aware of anything that may get in the way. If you have tiling or picture rails around the bottom of your recess, which is 20mm or less difference to the width across the top, we advise to provide the measuring across the top for a nice, snug fit!
- For the best results when measuring for an exact fitting, allow your blind to overlap the edges of the recess by at least 35mm on each side. We'll then make a blind for your exact measurements and ship it with the brackets which will add an additional 3mm to the size you give us.
Additional Information:
- The fabric width is 35-40mm narrower than the overall width of the blind to allow for any control component on the side of the tube (or 'cassette'). We always manufacture the full blind width and not fabric width. If you are fitting one of these blinds outside of a recess, you may want to consider measuring wider to allow for some fabric overlap.
- We try to make the measuring and ordering process as simple as possible - so for a recess fitting, we only require the full size of your recess space and we will make small adjustments to enable the blind to fit within that space. We make a 3mm deduction to the width of Roller blinds. If you wish to make your own allowances and do not require us to make them, please select exact fitting and not recess during the order process.
- If you are fitting a roller blind inside of a recess and wish to mount the brackets to the sides of the recess (opposed to the lintel or window frame), please make sure that you measure across the top of the recess and select 'exact' instead of 'recess' to allow for this particular type of mounting (otherwise 'top' or 'face' fixing is an alternative option).

What are the control options for motorised roller blinds?
How often will I need to charge my motorised roller blind?
Motorised roller blinds will need charging around every 11 months, your motorised blind will have a removable and rechargeable battery pack at the top of the roll so you can easily detach and connect it to the charger.
Are chargers provided?
Chargers are not supplied with this blind as they do not need charging regularly, you can find them under motorised blind accessories or wait until you have added the product to your basket and you will get a pop up with the option.
Are they child and pet safe?
Yes! That’s a massive bonus that comes with the motorised roller blinds, the wireless remote means no need for any chains or cords, making this blind perfect for children’s bedrooms and windows near furniture.
Do they make a lot of noise to raise/lower?
No, as you probably know some blinds can be quite loud when you raise/lower them, especially once the little ones have gone to sleep and your trying to silently close the blind. With the touch of a button you can have this blind down smoothly and quickly and only hear a soft vibrating noise until the blind is down.
I am thinking about ordering motorised roller blinds, do I choose recess or exact size?
If your motorised roller blind is going to be fitted on the inside of your window then this would be (Recess) If you are wanting the blind to sit outside of the window frame this would be (Exact), For full instructions view our measuring guide.
Will I need screws/rawl plugs to fit my motorised roller blinds?
Yes, we do supply the necessary brackets but you will need to source the suitable screws/wall plugs for your fixing area.

• Motorised roller blinds are supplied as standard with a Somfy motorised control unit on the right hand side, to control the raising and lowering of the blind.
• The operation is through a remote control unit - 1 single channel remote supplied with each blind.
• The unit is powered by an integrated rechargeable Lithium Ion battery pack where one hour charge will provide 11 months of average use. The blinds are delivered un-charged and will need fully charging before first use. Battery chargers are not supplied as standard.

• The bottom finish of the blind will be a straight finish. This will be finished with either a ‘stitched bottom pocket’ or a heat welded seam, with a plastic bottom lathe, dependant on the suitability of the fabric choice.
• Please note, blinds with a width greater than 180cm and a drop greater than 175cm MAY have a horizontal seam due to fabric width / design.
• Please note that the cloth width is 3.5-4cm narrower than the overall cassette width to allow for the control component. We always manufacture based on full blind width not fabric width.
• All items are cut to size and will be accurate with working tolerances and variances of +/-5mm.
• All our blinds are manufactured and supplied to be compliant with child safety regulations. As part of this compliance all control cords and chains will be made to a maximum of 1 metre. If you need to discuss this, please contact us.
•All roller blinds are produced with extra fabric added to the drop ordered. This is to ensure that there is enough material to conceal the metal tube when the blind is full down/closed. This is normal and standard practice throughout the industry.
WARNING
Young children can be strangled by loops in pull cords, chains, tapes and inner cords that operate the product.
To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of young children.
Cords may become wrapped around a child’s neck. Move beds, cots, and furniture away from window covering cords.
Do not tie cords together. Make sure cords do not twist and create a loop.
Motorised blinds with 'Raise/Lower' or 'Tilt & Raise/Lower' operation will be supplied without any control cords. Motorised blinds with 'Tilt Only' operation are supplied with a control cord for Raise/Lower operation. As part of child safety compliance, any and all cords provided with our products will be made at a maximum length of one metre.
