Anywhere you have a glass window or door, with a gap in-between the glass and rubber seal of at least 17mm to accommodate the fitting of the blind, would be suitable for Clip Fit blinds. Just slide a soft ended knife underneath the rubber seal and mark where it stops, then measure this to make sure it is at least 17mm. If you're having trouble sliding the knife under, pop a bit of washing up liquid on to help lubricate it.
Yes, they work great on doors with a glass panel as they are fitted under the rubber seal of the panel, so you won’t have anything restricting the door from opening and closing. They also work for Bi-Fold doors, providing you have enough depth between to be able to close the doors. The blind projects 32mm out from the glass to the front of the folded operating handle, this is important to ensure you can fully open and shut your Bi-Fold door, and for general operation.
Clip Fit blinds are controlled with a central handle at the bottom of the fabric, making it easy to push up and pull down the blind by hand. The blind features a secure top and bottom headrail, which is clicked into the brackets underneath. Side channels are also included to provide a secure fit and keep into place. The blinds will also feature guide wires to keep the pleats in place. Our top down, bottom up system is available only on pleated blinds and provides full control over the position of the fabric.
Standard operation blinds come with a bottom rail which you can push up to open your blinds and pull down to close them, making them similar to other standard blinds in appearance and operation.
Multizone or 'Top Down Bottom Up' blinds come with a top and bottom rail, allowing you the flexibility to adjust your blinds from the top as well as the bottom. Simply put you can open or close your blind from both ends and the tensioned system means it will remain where you leave it - great for extra light and privacy control.
Honeycomb pleated blinds are a very special type of blind. Featuring a special comb-like structure, these blinds trap air, thus regulating the air flow throughout the seasons. Meaning a warm room in winter and cooler room in summer. Not only that, their proximity to the glass provides an optimal thermal layer right at the source of heat loss. Being a low-profile blind means you can double up with another blind type or curtains - all working together to reduce those energy bills. Blackout honeycomb blinds also provide extra light protection due to their light-blocking material.
As with most of our blinds, there is still light bleed around the fabric, and components. However, the best fabrics for blocking light are our blackout fabrics. The fabric will block 100% of light from coming through the fabric, and if you fit directly to a glass window in a recess this will reduce the light bleed effect even more. Just watch for the (Blackout) part of the name or checkout our range of blackout Clip Fit blinds for you here.

On Measuring
• Clip Fit blinds are suited to windows or doors with bead depths of 17mm or more. Please view the measuring guide and check accordingly to ensure correct fitting.
• The blind projects 32mm out from the glass to the front of the folded operating handle, important for opening and closing your Bi-Fold door, and for general operation.
• Tolerances - In order for the blind to fit snugly. There is a manufacturing deduction of 4mm from the blind width. For the side channels a deduction is made of 2mm overall (1mm top and bottom), this is to ensure the frame lines up correctly.
• All items are cut to size and will be accurate with working tolerances and variances of +/-4mm overall.
• Note, we also ask you measure the middle as well, to ensure there is no more than 4mm difference between each width measurements. If this is the case, please get in touch with us to talk through your measurements, as we want to ensure the best possible fit for your new blind!
