Venetian, Mercury - Perfect Fit Blind

Both blind types use a simple no screw fixing method referred to as 'Clip n Fit'. However, the Perfect Fit blinds come within a complete frame on the surround, whereas Clip Fit blinds just have a top and bottom section, and uses four tiny brackets under the beading to anchor the blind to.

Perfect Fit blinds also require the brackets to be slotted into the gasket to accept the frame, both blind types have different blind bracket depths, so ensure you read our guides for the correct size. Installing both blinds only require sliding the brackets in, and mounting the blind headrails or frames on top — Easy!

A Perfect Fit features a complete frame on the surround of the blind, which helps reduce some natural light from bleeding round the edge of the blind. Clip Fit blinds have less restrictions as this just has a simple top and bottom rail, that clicks into the brackets unde the beading. A simple design, Clip Fit blinds also uses add-on side channels that also helps with the light. Window Handles and Trickle Vents can cause some conflict with Perfect Fit frames, as you'll need at least 26mm clearance for the frame to fit. You can get special handle spacers, just let us know prior to ordering, we'll be happy to help. Both blinds are close to the glazing as you like, helping reduce energy bills by becoming great insulators!

Only our Perfect Fit Honeycomb Blackout collection and Perfect Fit Pleated Blackout offers a blackout option. However, as will nearly all blind types, there is still light bleed around the frame, components and around the sides of the fabric. All Perfect Fit blinds, as they're super close to the window, can reduce light bleed much better than traditional blind types, with the frame helping even more. Honeycomb pleated fabrics are also more effective at blocking light as the fabric features a comb-like structure, where the pleated guide wires are fed through. Normal blackout fabrics, that have a 'single' pleat, may have light coming through the guide wire holes. It's always important to double-check if this is a definite thing you require!

Venetian Perfect Fit Blinds are manufactured with two separate controls; one is a twist wand to alternate the direction of the horizontal aluminium slats, which can be placed on either side. The blind can also be raised/lowered by manually sliding it up/down by the bottom bar.

Yes, our Perfect Fit Pleated and Honeycomb blinds are tensioned so that they can operate from the top down or bottom up. Perfect Fit Venetian blinds are fixed at the top, like a normal Venetian within a frame, and will only operate top down.

You must have a uPVC/aluminium window with a rubber gasket/seal on the glass surround of no less than 18mm (see our measuring tab for further details on checking this). Perfect Fit frames require a clearance of 26mm. See our guide for information regarding doors, and the depths you need to note!

We use a 19mm pleat for all Pleated blinds.

We use a 25mm slat only - this is to ensure that the blind will sit completely within the frame.

Yes they are 100% child safe by design, as they have no cords hanging down for control purposes.

You can simply wipe down the frames with any bacterial wipe or something of that nature. For the blind itself, regular dusting with a soft cloth or duster will suffice.
